*Parents, please look at the “Make it Stick” or” Take Home Papers” we send home with the children. It gives a better description of what was taught and how to reinforce what they have learned throughout the week, as a family.  We also send home a memory verse for them to learn.  We give them an incentive to remember scripture.

The kids will FINISH their study of the Parables, in the series,” Code Breakers, Cracking the Kingdom Code”. Jesus spoke about The Kingdom of God, or the Kingdom of Heaven. These stories, called parables, remain a mystery for those who do not have “eyes to see and ears to hear”. The kids will examine the clues, break the code, and gain understanding of their role in the Kingdom of God.

Memory Verse: “God you are my God. I seek you with all my heart”. Psalm 63:1a

Everything Comes Together: Luke 10:29-37, “The parable of the Good Samaritan”, Kids will learn that we should be generous with love for others.  In this parable, Jesus teaches us what it means to truly love another person-going the extra mile and giving our all to serve. Final Puzzle: Kids will work together to unscramble the letter and spell,” Love Others”

*Putting all of the clues they uncovered, the kids will put now put all 3 codes together to learn that the Code of God’s Kingdom is “ I Am Loved, Love God, Love Others

“ The Lord’s Prayer” Learning to Pray Jesus’ Way, is the new series the children will begin in November.

Just like the disciples in the Bible, we can be confused about how to pray. Jesus gave them and us the Lord’s Prayer. This beautiful prayer is a blueprint for us to remember God’s perfection, God’s plan, God’s goodness, and our weakness when we talk with God.

Memory Verse: The Lord’s Prayer

How You Should Pray:  Matthew 6:5-15” Prayer”, Kids will learn that Prayer is an important part of following Jesus. Prayer was an important part of Jesus life on earth, and it should be an important part of our lives. Prayer is simply how we talk to God, just like we talk to our family and friends. Jesus shows us how to pray and how important it is

Our Father: Matthew 6:9 & Isaiah 6:1-8, “Isaiah’s Commission”. Kids will learn that prayer allows us to talk to a holy and loving God.  God is great and holy-Isaiah  to see that firsthand with God on a glorious throne surrounded by angels. That same God , not only allows us to talk to Him, but also to call Him “Father”, because He loves us!

Your Kingdom Come: Matthew 6:10 & Matthew 26:36-46” In the Garden” , Kids will learn that prayer helps us to put God’s way before our own way.  In the last hours before His death, Jesus prays in the Garden of Gethsemane, asking the Fathers will be done and not His own will.

Our Daily Bread: Matthew 6:11 & 1 Kings 17:7-16,” Elijah and the Widow”, Kids will learn that prayer helps us see how God provides. We should pray for our daily needs- food, clothing, health, etc.- to remind ourselves that all of these blessings come from God.

*5-6th Grades (Downstairs Classroom)

The children in 5th and 6th grades will study the Book of Leviticus.

CALVARY KIDS YOUTH CLUB Ages 5 through 5th Grade Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30

***PLEASE HAVE THE CHILDREN BRING THEIR OWN WATER BOTTLES AND BIBLES***

Please bring your children to the Fellowship Hall and sign them in there. The children will be brought back to the parents at the Fellowship Hall Foyer at 8:30. The kids will be learning through Bible stories, object lessons, games, videos and crafts, all reinforcing God’s Word. They will also have worship and prayer.

* Have your children bring a friend or neighbor, we promise they will be welcomed with smiles and enthusiasm. We are always excited to see new faces and teach them about Jesus!

The Kids will continue to explore the Fruit of the Spirit through creative, travel themed lessons. We will take them on an exciting journey filled with stories, fun, prayer, and discovery. They will learn about expressing God’s love to others through caring actions and healthy attitudes, with the help of God’s Spirit. The children will be also decorating a hands-on bulletin board, each week, as we travel down the road, and gather the Fruit of the Spirit.
