Lessons from an Empty Tomb

Lessons from an Empty Tomb
(Matthew 28:1-10)

Summary:

The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave is the single most important event in the Christian faith. There are multiple lessons we can learn from the empty tomb of Christ:

  • Religion always gets in the way of a personal relationship with God. Religion constantly reminds people they are not good enough to grow closer to God.
  • God has rejected the old system of religion that sent Christ to the grave. Everything up to Christ burial was done according to the law.
  • God wants a personal relationship with everyone willing to follow Him.
  • There is a response when Christ meets us on a personal level.
